We often have to deal with various settings quirks in software. In this tutorial, we'll cover how to change the language in Adobe Photoshop to English by default.

If you've accidentally installed Photoshop in Russian, or even Ukrainian—which is also possible—you'll need to perform a few simple steps.
You need to go to the folder where the program is installed: X:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)Localesru_RUSupport Files. Here, X is the drive letter. The version of Photoshop may differ from mine, as well as the language. For example, instead of CS6, you might have CS4 installed, and the language pack could be for Bulgarian. In this directory, locate the file tw10428.dat and rename its extension to .bak. Then restart Photoshop if it was running previously.
