Let's create an action to quickly select an object from the background. Most of our time is spent on actions that can and should be simplified with special macros available in Adobe Photoshop.

So, how can we make the selection process faster?
First, go to the menu Window-ActionsWindow-Actions or press Alt+F9. Then take the image you need to edit and return to the Actions panel.
Now click Create new setCreate new set on the Actions panel.
Next to this menu, click Create new actionCreate new action. Recording of the new action should start automatically.

Right-click to select the image layer and duplicate it. Hide the visibility of the bottom layer by simply removing the eye icon from it.

Create a new layer — Shift+Ctrl+N and fill it with black.
Repeat the action, but use white instead of black.
As a result, you should now have 2 new layers with white and black backgrounds. You can lock them immediately since they will only serve as auxiliary layers and do not need to be edited. Move them below the main layer.
Select the layer with the object you need to select.

Go to the menu Layer-Layer Mask-Reveal AllLayer-Layer Mask-Reveal All and create a layer mask. Set a stop for the action using the menu item Insert StopInsert Stop.
Then take any selection tool and start selecting the object in the photo. Once you finish this action, press Shift+Ctrl+I to invert the selection, set black as the background color, and press the delete button. This way, we have selected the object and removed the background behind it.

We've just simplified a future task for ourselves — we've created an action that can automatically generate backgrounds and layer masks.
