Step number 23

Repeat step number 22 and smooth out all the other parts of the character. Pay close attention to small details such as ears, nose, eyes, etc. Avoid over-smoothing, as you might lose fine details and features of the Hulk.

Step number 24

Now it is time to add some details to the face, including wrinkles, edges, etc. Turn off the sketch layer, set the brush size to 2 pixels and set the “opacity jitter” mode to “pen pressure”. Save this brush and rename it to “Sketch brush”. Change the brush color to #142406 and start adding details to the Hulk's nose.

Step number 25

Similarly, add details just below the eyes and smooth them if necessary, changing the brush and its size to achieve the best results on the character's face. Do not forget about the brush settings – change "Opacity Jitter" to "pen pressure". This is very important, as this parameter will be used everywhere for brush setup in this tutorial instead of the default brush.

Step number 26

Repeat step 25, add the remaining details to the character. Change the brush size and color as needed and smooth everything to get rid of extra lines. After all the actions, you should get something like this.

36
36

Step number 27

Now we will add details to the eyes, choosing the sketch brush, and set the opacity jitter to pen pressure. Change the color to #051102 and the size to 5 pixels, then add strokes to the eye.

3

Step number 28

Change the brush size to 5 pixels, color to #0f1a09 and paint details inside the pupil. Now we can add some light and reflection to the eye to give it a natural look. Reduce the brush hardness to 25% and set the brush color to #699e5c and make the light reflection for the eye.

Step number 29

Select the sketch brush we created earlier, and set its hardness to 50% and size to 3 pixels. Set the brush color to #4a422c and add a shadow for the eyeball to give it depth. Now change the brush color to #27210e and add details to the photo.

7

Step number 30

Next we add veins to the eye to make it look more natural. To highlight the veins, we will need to take the sketch brush with a size of 1 pixel and color #2e1d0f, and draw them in the eye.

8
8

Step number 31

Repeat steps 27 and 30, adding details to the other eye. Note that the eye reflections should be realistic.

9

Step number 32 – Adding details to the mouth

Then we will add details to the mouth and first create the teeth. Select the sketch brush, change its color to black and reduce the size to 1-2 pixels.

10
10

Step number 33

We will add details to the lips, clearly defining them around the mouth. Choose a soft brush with 70% hardness, color #5f3d10, set “Opacity Jitter” to “Pen Pressure”. Then change the brush color to #563810 and add shadows to the lips. Change the brush hardness where needed.

11
11

Step number 34

Now change the brush color to #3a2c0a and add a dark shadow for the lips.

12
12

Step number 35

Now we will add a little light to the lips. Change the brush hardness to 50% and set its color to #9f8925, start adding light to the upper and lower parts of the lips.

20
20

Step number 36

Change the brush color to #afa66c and add a little light to the lips in a random manner. Avoid too many lines. This technique will give the image a nice reflection effect for the lips.

22
22

Step number 37

We must define the lip line that is now shining. So change the brush color to #302605 and add shadows to the edges of the lips.

16
16

Step number 38

After that, add a shadow for the lips using a soft brush with a size of 15 pixels and color #56431a. Set “Opacity Jitter” & “Flow Jitter” to pen pressure to get the best result. Save this brush as “smooth brush”.

17
17

Step number 39

Keep the smooth brush selected and draw around the edges of the mouth using colors #22340b and 67722f.

19
19

Step number 40

Change the brush color to #bcbb86, reduce its hardness to 25%. Draw around the edges of the upper lip to add light and give them a natural look.

21
21

Step number 41 – Coloring the teeth

It is time to color the character's teeth. Select the “sketch” brush we created earlier, change the size to 8 pixels, start painting the teeth with color #7a7036. Change the brush color to #7f855b and add expression to the teeth.

24
24

25
25

Step number 42

Now change the brush color to #6d6738 to add shadows to the teeth and give them depth and realism. Pay attention when adding shadows between the gaps, as large shadows can make your work less detailed.

26
26

Step number 43

Now we will add light to the teeth. Change the brush color to #8d9377 and paint the teeth. Add light to the teeth based on the position of the light source.

27
27

Step number 44

A little more dark shadows behind the teeth to give more depth. Select the sketch brush with 75% hardness and color #090900 and paint behind the row of teeth.

28
28

Step number 45

Next we will add shadows for the lips. Change the brush size to 5 pixels and color #090900 and add shadows. Also change the brush size to 35 pixels & set hardness to 0%, set “Opacity Jitter” & “Flow Jitter” and add some shadows around the edge of the lips to give them a natural look. Save the brush name as “smoothing”.
