Probably, each of us loves to create something of our own, and even more so for such a popular image editing program as Adobe Photoshop. A separate application was created specifically for it to help organize your workspace in the most convenient way. The extension Adobe Configurator 4, as can be seen from the name itself, is already the 4th version. Let's take a look at how you can quickly and easily create your own extension — a panel with the necessary settings.

Adobe Configurator 4

To begin with, you need to download the program itself to start working with it.

After installing it on your computer, launch it, and you will see the following picture.

I won't go into detail about all the items, as if you have even a little experience with Photoshop, you will surely find similar elements here, such as opening a file, exporting, and editing...

Click in the menu File-New PanelФайл-Новая панель and create a panel where all the necessary elements will be located. These can be:

  • Actions.
  • Scripts.
  • Photoshop tools.
  • Individual menu items.

So, let's move on to the next setting point of our panel.

Let's say you wanted to create the main editing modes or the main tools for photo processing that you would like to place on a separate panel. What is required for this? Just drag the desired elements directly into the editing window and arrange them on the panel as needed.

You have the option to see how the panel will look before exporting. To do this, go to the menu File-Preview PanelФайл-Предосмотр панели or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P.

If you are ready to export your creation as a panel for Photoshop, then click the corresponding button in the menu.

After that, a window will open where you can choose a folder to save the project. Select either the folder with the installed Photoshop program to install the panel directly, or a separate folder to manually transfer the finished panel.

The installation path may differ in each case. For example, for Adobe Photoshop CC it is:

 X:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)Plug-insPanels

where X is the letter of your drive where the program is installed, and (64 Bit) is its bitness.

At the moment, there are a huge number of different panels and extensions for Photoshop. On our website, you can learn more about them on the page.

For developers, there are separate pages where you can upload your own extensions.
